It’s that time of year again! With the 2018 Core Season quickly approaching its time to have our ALL parent meeting. This is an information meeting for new and returning player’s parent. At the meeting you will get all of the information you need for the rest of the season!

This meeting will take place July 16 the times are as follows (if you do not know the division of your player or players feel free to let me know!) The meeting will be held at the soccer complex in the Eastside Clubhouse

VIP 6:30-7:10PM

10U 7:10-7:50PM

This is also a wonderful time to get the answer to any questions you may have. If you need your child’s birth certificate verified this is also a great time to do this!!

Region 91 is a volunteer-run organization. Coaches, referees and administrators are volunteers. Thousands of parents, neighbors, relatives and friends lend their time and talents so that each child gets a terrific AYSO experience.

Region 91 ensures that it’s all about what’s good for kids. It also makes AYSO very affordable. Region 91 operates in a business manner, but volunteers ensure its “profits” are happy, healthy kids playing a sport they can enjoy for life.

Parents are reminded to please follow our Game Day Etiquette guidelines. These guidelines make the games more enjoyable for not only the players, but also the parents and volunteers. All our coaches, referees, and board members are volunteers who donate their free time so your kids can play soccer in the best atmosphere possible. Please do your part to help make their time on the fields fun and memorable.

Do You Want to Help?

AYSO has developed special training that helps parents who may have little or no soccer experience to quickly gain the age-appropriate knowledge and skills they need to be effective coaches and referees. It also has unique administrative and management training.

This ensures that each community program:

  • Abides by the AYSO philosophies
  • Offers a great AYSO experience
  • Continues to grow, offering the AYSO opportunity to more children

It only takes a few hours to become qualified as an introductory-level coach or referee. However, if you’re not able to commit even that much time, there are many small jobs you can help with. Even a couple of hours each season are an important contribution to your team and Region!

AYSO training doesn’t stop as long as you’re having fun. Referees, coaches and administrators have clinics, workshops and other advanced training available to advance their skills.

Training

All new volunteers need to complete the Safe Haven and CDC Concussion course, and returning volunteers must have completed the course within the last two years. Taking these courses is easy, and is done online. The training can be found in AYSOU.
